Combination of the Best

Artillery Gun Module (AGM) of the PzH2000 combined with the proven BOXER protection and mobility

RCH155® can fire up to 9 rounds per minute to a range of up to 40 km with standard ammunition (Base Bleed, BB) which leads to an area coverage of 5,026 km2. An increased range of up to 54 km is possible with Velocity Enhanced Long Range Artillery Projectiles (V-LAP) or even up to 70 km with VULCANO. To integrate AGM® with the NATO Joint Ballistic Memorandum of Understanding (JBMoU) compatible, fielded 155 mm L52 Artillery gun, BOXER makes use of its immense growth potential.

The Artillery Gun Module of the RCH155® is unmanned and provides automated navigation and fire control, fully automated gun laying, projectile and charge loading, including fuse setting. The system also delivers a unique range of 360° efficiency across all elevations and up to 6 modular charges without the necessity to use support legs during firing. This leads to the reduced crew of 2 (driver/operator, commander).

The symbiosis of its capabilities, paired with the powerful BOXER Drive Module, provides the user with a unique mobile Artillery System that is capable of giring whilst moving, as well as the more traditional “Shoot and Scoot”. RCH155® is the only Artillery System that provides this standalone feature of constant relocation during operation to maintain cover and avoid detection. The high precision and accuracy even during operation on the move prepares it for all relevant scenarios with a combat load of 30 fused rounds and 144 modular charges.

The survivability of the vehicle and its crew have been a key characteristic right from the beginning and therefore given highest priority.
