Last BOXER GTFz A2 of the 2nd batch delivered to the Bundeswehr

ARTEC GmbH, as a subsidiary of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall, has officially handed over the last BOXER APC of the 2nd batch in the configuration GTFz A2 to representatives of the German Ministry of Defence and the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw).
The contract for the second batch, signed in 2015, comprised 131 BOXER APC in the A2 version with a value of 478 million EUR. All experiences made during the deployment to Afghanistan were incorporated into this version.
Despite the challenging circumstances caused by the pandemic, which partly influenced delivery dates significantly, contractual deadlines were met. This was only possible due to the constructive, pragmatic and trustful collaboration between industry and the customer.
Overall, ARTEC delivered so far 405 BOXER vehicles to the German Bundeswehr consisting of 72 Ambulance, 65 Command Post and 256 Armoured Personnel Carrier vehicles.
